Steel slag is the slag discharged during the steelmaking process. According to the steelmaking furnace type, it can be divided into converter slag, open slag, and electric slag. It is mainly composed of calcium, iron, silicon, magnesium, and a small amount of aluminum, manganese, phosphorus and other oxides. It is a large-discharge industrial solid waste with an output of about 15% -20% of crude steel output. At present, the annual emissions of steel slag in China are up to 80 million tons, and the accumulated stockpiles are about 1 billion tons.

Processing process

According to the characteristics of the steel slag and the requirements of the finished product, the crushing and screening-removing iron-grinding process is used. The particle size of the steel slag exceeds the larger feed size of the initial crushing. Pretreatment with tools such as breakers, and the pretreated steel slag meets the equipment feeding requirements. Then use jaw crusher, cone crusher, impact crusher and screening equipment to crush and separate the raw materials to a certain particle size for construction materials or further processing. Adding iron removal equipment in the production line to remove iron can not only ensure the normal operation of the equipment, but also bring huge economic benefits. The crushed and magnetically selected materials are further ground with a Raymond mill to obtain materials with different fineness.
